Rivet Replacement on swing bridge in Cheshire


During 2001, British Waterways replaced over 12,000 rivets dating back to the early 1900's with M22 TCBs.
The bridge on the A49 near Northwich in Cheshire crosses the River Weaver. The river was canalised in the 1830s to link Winsford's salt mines to the sea.
